At your local library, the NC Works Career Center staff provide you with the tools you need to succeed. They can help you find work, improve your skills, and connect you to other resources to help you prepare for interviews and make a good impression on employers. The following services are offered at no charge to all seeking a job: career assessment and guidance, access to training and education programs, learn about job fairs and workshops, information on the job market, assistance with searching for jobs, resume and cover letter preparation, practice interviewing for jobs, free computer and Internet access, and help registering with and using NC Works Online.

PLA is proud to partner with AT&T to expand upon its work helping libraries and their communities close the digital divide. Onslow County Public Library is a recipient of the latest incentive award and will be offering a series of digital literacy workshops using PLA’s DigitalLearn modules, focusing on basic computer skills, internet navigation, online security, and access to online health and career search tools. The Jacksonville and Swansboro locations will conduct these workshops each month.

Help plan programs for other teens, earn service hours and gain leadership skills. Open to teens in Grades 6-12. Snacks will be provided.
