Healthy for Life

Let's be Healthy for Life. Join Alyssa, Public Heath Lead Educator at the Onslow County Health Department for a monthly experience focused on your health, wellness, and nutritious eating. Explore different series with different topics each month. No registration is required. Join from home, your phone, your desk, or at the Jacksonville main branch where we will Zoom in and participate all together on the big screen.

Artastic! (Grades K-5)

Kids show their artistic side as they complete different art projects each month. Registration is required and sign up will be made available 30 days before the event.

Tai Chi for Everyone

We are excited to host free Tai Chi classes with Reuben Frazier at the Main Branch located in Jacksonville, where you can embark on a journey to find balance, tranquility, and improved well-begin. Tai Chi is a beautiful martial art that combines gentle movements, deep breathing, and mindfulness practices. It is suitable for all individuals of all fitness levels and ages. You will have the opportunity to: learn the fundamentals of Tai Chi, cultivate inner peace, enhance physical health, and connect with a community. Reuben trains at United Martial Arts Kung Fu Academy!

NC Works (Adults) - Richlands

NC Works Career Services staff will be at the library providing free assistance with resumes, job searching, and career planning. The staff will also provide support service for veterans.
