Onslow County Information Technology Services Director Glenn Hasteadt is named as IT Professional of the Year by the North Carolina Local Government Information Systems Association. This award is the highest honor that NCLGISA can bestow and Glenn has earned it for his work ethic, servant leadership, integrity, and commitment to the public good.
Nominations for Glenn came from cities and counties all over North Carolina and the award was announced during the NCLGISA Spring Conference at the end of May. Glenn Hasteadt is well respected as a leader in his field and has worked closely with other North Carolina communities on information and technology initiatives.
Glenn has 32 years of experience in the IT field with 25 in local government and joined Onslow County in 2015. Since 2016 the Onslow County ITS Department has been nationally ranks. Glenn manages all of Onslow County ITS personnel, computer systems, and the Geographic Information Systems Department.
Onslow County and local government IT departments across the state have benefited from Glenn’s experience and expertise as he frequently hosts leadership talks, teaches classes, and mentors other IT professionals. Glenn Hasteadt is only the second person to receive the IT Professional of the Year Award from NCLGISA.
