Christmas Holiday Closings

Most Onslow County Government Offices and operations will be closed December 22, 25, & 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Among the closures is the Onslow County Landfill and Convenience Sites for Saturday, December 23 and Monday, December 25, 2023. The Landfill and Convenience Sites will open as usual on Tuesday, December 26.

Onslow County Public Library branches and the Onslow County Museum will also be closed Saturday, December 23 through Tuesday, December 26, 2023, but both will observe regular hours beginning Wednesday, December 27.

Onslow County Sheriff's Office administrative offices will be closed Friday, December 22 through Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Deputies and Animal Services Officers will be responding to emergency calls.

Onslow County Department of Social Services will be closed Friday, December 22 through Tuesday, December 26, 2023, but if you need to make a report of child or elder abuse, neglect, exploitation, or dependency, you can call the Onslow County Sheriff’s office at 910-455-3113 and ask for the on-call social worker.
