Onslow County Museum houses a research/reference room that is available to the public by appointment. Museum staff assist visitors with inquiries on local history topics, genealogy, and artifact, document, and photograph identification and care.
Available Resources
The Museum has a growing collection of historical and genealogical research volumes; staff may assist you in "jump starting" your family history. The Museum maintains files relating to the architectural history of Onslow County and miscellaneous files relating to the genealogy of some Onslow related families. The room also houses a variety of books relating to eastern North Carolina history with an emphasis on Onslow County.
