What To Expect

The goal of the Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Clinic is to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases in Onslow County. This is accomplished through confidential testing, treatment, and counseling for sexually transmitted diseases.

Services provided include:

  • Confidential counseling and education regarding STDs and HIV
  • Diagnosis of STD/HIV through physical exams and laboratory testing
  • Follow-up and referral services for those who test positive for an STD
  • Prevention of STDs through vaccination and safer sex education
  • Treatment of STDs through medications

Fees

Many STD treatments are at no out-of-pocket expense.

STD Clinic Services

The STD clinics accept scheduled appointments or walk-ins as available. 

Hours

Monday-Friday

8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Although we encourage minors to discuss health issues with their parents, adolescents may come to the STD Clinic unaccompanied by a parent. The Minor Consent Law (PDF) provides information on minor rights in North Carolina.
