Our Mission

Onslow County Veteran Services informs, advises, and assists Onslow County veterans, their dependents, or survivors in obtaining benefits from the US Department of Veterans Affairs, state, or local municipalities.




Hours of Operation:
 Monday -Friday
 8:00am to 5:00pm
 
  • Veterans who wish to file a claim should call (910) 347-3309 for either an in-person appointment or a phone consultation. 
  • Veterans may walk in or utilize our secure drop box at the Government Center to apply for property tax exclusions, veteran license plates, and hunting and fishing license. Forms that are dropped off will be validated and returned by mail. The applications are available here on our website or at our front desk.



This office provides a wide range of services to the Veteran and their family members. We serve all veterans, spouses, widows, and children of veterans residing in Onslow County with all Veterans Administration matters.

Services include:

  • VA disability compensation and pension guidance
  • Enrollment at VA Medical Centers
  • VA Education and Vocational Rehabilitation benefit applications 
  • Applying for VA Home Loan Guaranty
  • Providing burial information
  • Submitting appeals
  • Answering questions regarding VA paperwork
  • Providing information about VA life insurance
  • Serving as liaison between the veteran and the Department of Veterans Affairs

If you are interested in applying for VA benefits or need assistance with VA paperwork, please contact our office to schedule an appointment. A Veteran Service Officer will meet with you to answer any questions you have about your benefit eligibility. We will then help you submit any paperwork and assist with gathering any necessary documentation and evidence to support your claim. Call us at 910-347-3309 to schedule an appointment.
