Looking for a loved one treated / transported by EMS?
Unfortunately, EMS cannot provide any information regarding any person that we're providing care for due to federal privacy laws. Included in that, we can neither provide or confirm identity, patient condition nor hospital transport destination. We recommend contacting one of our local hospitals in an attempt to locate your loved one.

EMS Billing
Onslow County EMS charges a user fee, just like your doctor's office or the emergency room, for ambulance treatment / transportation. EMS user fees are set by the Onslow County Board of Commissioners. Onslow County EMS contracts with a third-party billing company to process all ambulance claims. This service provides you with dedicated staff to handle your questions regarding insurance and payments.

Patient Records
Patient care records (PCR) are not public documents and are only available to the patient, a legally authorized designee, or with a court order.
Patients
Patients as well as parents or guardians of minor patients may receive a copy of their patient care record (PCR) in person at the Onslow County Emergency Services Headquarters.
For deceased patients, the person listed as "Informant" or "Surviving Spouse" on the death certificate may receive a copy of the decedent's PCR.
Required:
- Legal photo ID
- Completed Authorization for Release of Patient Records form (may be completed in our office). Final signature MUST be done in the office.
- If deceased, the original death certificate is required. We will make a copy and return it to you.
Legal Designee of Patient
Legal Designees of patient may receive a copy of the patient care record (PCR) in person at the Onslow County Emergency Services Headquarters with a legal document granting authority. Family relationship does not qualify as legal designee of a patient.
Required:
- Legal photo ID
- Completed Authorization for Release of Patient Records form (may be completed in our office). Final signature MUST be done in the office.
- Legal document granting authority (Healthcare/Medical Power of Attorney, Executor of Will/Estate, Custody Order for Minor Children, etc)
Law Offices
Law offices may receive a copy of a patient care report with a Notarized Authorization for Release of Patient Records form. Law offices must use the Onslow County form. Releases created by the law office are not accepted.
