(Onslow County)   The Onslow County Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the Multi Purpose Building to discuss two important topics for Onslow County residents.  Beginning at 1:00 p.m., a report will be received from the Solid Waste Department and CDM on the future of solid waste and landfill issues.  The next topic will be a presentation of the County-wide Fire Department Study – Technical Review (Draft) from Solutions for Local Government, Inc. 

 At 7 pm, a further presentation of the County-wide Fire Department Study – Technical Review (Draft) will be given to members of the Fire Commission, Fire Chiefs Association, Fire Service Task Force, and Rescue Chiefs.  All interested parties are encouraged to attend this briefing.  There will be a question and answer session at the conclusion of the presentation.
