(Onslow County)   The Onslow County Department of Social Services will begin taking applications for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program on Monday, November 2, 2009.  Applications will be accepted at the New River Shopping Center Office located next to the health food store at 1249C Hargett Street.   Applications may be submitted 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday until November 13, 2009.  Wednesday, November 11, 2009 (Veterans’ Day) is a County Holiday and the office will be closed.

In order to apply for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program, applicants must present Social Security numbers for all household members, Proof of October 2009 income, a Picture ID, and identification of the type of heating source used.
