Christopher H. White is Airport Division Head
Onslow County Manager Jeffrey L. Hudson announced that Christopher H. White begins work on September 2, 2009 as the new Onslow County Airport Division Head.
Mr. White brings more than twenty years of aviation management and consulting experience to Albert J. Ellis Airport. The last eight years have been spent at Raleigh-Durham International Airport overseeing airport operations and lending his expertise to terminal, airfield and other airport projects. By working at small and large airports, Mr. White has become well versed in all aspects of airport management from business development to emergency management. His customer-centered approach has enhanced the passenger experience and yielded significant gains in overall airport performance.
Mr. White holds a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Administration and a Master’s in Public Administration. He is also an Instrument-rated Private Pilot and has achieved professional certification as an Accredited Airport Executive through the American Association of Airport Executives.
“I believe Mr. White’s aviation experience and formal training make him well suited to lead our airport to the next level of service to our citizens” said Hudson.
Mr. White has been married to his wife Colleen for 14 years and has two children, Megan and Cora. Colleen is a marketing and public relations consultant.
