Program Overview
Onslow County provides training and development opportunities to all employees, within the availability of funds, in support of effective and efficient service provision to the citizens of Onslow County. Training and development opportunities are offered to improve personal and professional growth and to prepare employees for assuming positions of greater responsibility.
It is Onslow County’s goal to support life-long learning to assist individuals in working effectively within their departments and throughout county government. Training and development will assist county government in adapting to change, increasing productivity, and improving employee interactions with each other and the citizens of Onslow County.
The Onslow County Training and Development program partners with local educational and professional development training agencies to equip Onslow County employees with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully serve Onslow County government and its citizens.
Funding for training at these partner agencies is the responsibility of the department and cannot be incurred by the Human Resources department.
