    Adoption fees include core vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchip. Dogs will be under the large white tent in the parking lot; cats will be inside the PetSmart store. The “Adoption Extravaganza” will also have food trucks, a kid’s corner, a raffle drawing and entertainment provided by Thunder Country 96.3.

  2. Architectural History Lecture - Jones County

    Onslow County Museum will host a special presentation by local historian Dennis E. Jones on the newly published, THE ARCHITECTURAL HISTORY OF JONES COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA. Written by architectural historian, Christina R. Moon, this survey of Jones County historic homes, farms, churches, schools, government buildings, and business properties traces the story of the agricultural community beginning in the early 18th century. Dennis E. Jones, an active member of the Jones and Onslow County Historical Societies, served as the book publication chairperson as well as an important local resource for the author. A retired educator, Jones has deep roots in both Jones and Onslow Counties. Focusing on a series of featured sites detailed in the new publication, Jones’ program will highlight the close family, historical, political, commercial, and agricultural ties between Jones and Onslow County.
