2. How do I get a certificate of eligibility for a VA guaranteed home loan?

Most lenders have access to the Automated Certificate of Eligibility system. This internet based application can establish and issue an online Certificate of Eligibility in a matter of seconds. To request an eligibility certificate for loan benefits, you must complete VA form 26-1880 and submit to your nearest VA eligibility center along with acceptable proof of as described on the instruction page of the form. This form and others can be downloaded from the VA website.

Veterans can use the VA Medical Center Fayetteville after submitting a 1010EZ application form along with a copy of their DD 214. The veteran must have received a discharge that is other than dishonorable to qualify for medical care.
