1. Who is eligible to receive services?

Any juvenile, age 10-17, who is experiencing or exhibiting high-risk behaviors such as problems at school/home, anger, criminal behavior, drug/alcohol use, etc.

2. What is an undisciplined juvenile?

A juvenile is considered undisciplined if he or she is between the age of 6-18 and is:
1. Regularly disobedient to his/her parents, guardians or custodians and is beyond their disciplinary control, or who is regularly found in places where it is unlawful for a juvenile to be, or who has run away from home for a period of 24 hours, and/or
2. Under 16 and unlawfully absent from school.

3. What is a delinquent juvenile?

Any juvenile who is between the age of 6-17 who has committed an offense which could be considered a crime or infraction, including violation of the motor vehicle laws.

5. How much do services cost?

All services are free to Onslow County residents.

6. When are you available?

Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 pm.

7. Can I just call and talk to someone?

Yes. All you need to do is call 910-455-1202.

8. Who can make referrals?

Most referrals are from Juvenile Court, Law Enforcement, Schools, or other juvenile serving agencies.

9. Where is Youth Services located?

All our offices are located at 220 Georgetown Road (between the Board of Education and ONWASA).
