Why do I have to bring my plat to GIS for a Review Officer’s signature?
October 1, 1997 the Governor signed a bill into law that required certain maps to be reviewed by a Review Officer prior to recordation at the Register of Deeds. Senate Bill 1552 has specific requirements that must be met before a Review Officer can sign the map indicating to the Register of Deeds that the map meets recording requirements.
