Onslow County – Camp Lejeune Joint Land Use Study Draft Report Ready for Review

Onslow County in cooperation with Camp Lejeune, City of Jacksonville, Town of Holly Ridge, Town of Richlands, Town of Swansboro, Town of North Topsail Beach, local residents and key stakeholders have drafted the Joint Land Use Study (JLUS). The primary purpose of the JLUS is to encourage a team environment between Camp Lejeune and the local jurisdictions. The relationship provides the opportunity to work together to aid in reducing incompatible development while accommodating new growth and economic development.

In a continued effort for public input, the JLUS Draft Report will be shared with the public for a 30-day comment period. The comment period will be opened from Saturday, June 1, 2019, to Sunday, June 30, 2019.

The Draft JLUS can be downloaded from the JLUS website (www.camplejeunejlus.com/documents).

Comments can be provided via the comment box or emailed to Ben Warren at benjamin_warren@onslowcountync.gov 


The JLUS Draft Report will be presented at the following public meetings and the public is encouraged to attend:

June 6, 2019, 6:30 PM at the Onslow County Planning Board Meeting to take place in the Commissioners' Chambers at the Onslow County Government Center located at 234 NW Corridor Boulevard, Jacksonville, NC 28540.

June 18, 2019, 5:00 PM at the City of Jacksonville City Council Meeting to take place in the City of Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540.

June 19, 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Sneads Ferry Branch Library located at 1330 Highway 210
