Storytimes & Programs for Birth to Preschool

OCPL encourages developing early literacy skills right from birth with regular storytimes for children ages 5 and under and their caregivers. All programs introduce books, reading, and language through age-appropriate stories, songs, rhymes, and movement. Designed to create a foundation of reading readiness, our early literacy programs help children develop a joy for learning language and enjoying books. Parents and caregivers learn fun ways to help build the early literacy skills children need to become successful readers.

JACKSONVILLE MAIN LIBRARY

Caregiver & Me Mindfulness • Ages 3-5 

Jan. 17, 24, 31; Feb. 7, 14, 21; 10:30 a.m. 

Registration Required. 

Join Amy Hedley for a 6-week Caregiver and Me Mindfulness course that will help you and your child bring more mindfulness to the moments that matter! Combining the best mindfulness insights, practical guidance, and fun activities, this course will help you and your child: 

-Navigate big emotions 

-Feel more self-compassion 

-Experience more loving interactions 

-Feel grounded 

-Express emotions in a healthy manner
